Student reviews of their time taking part in Junior Enterprise.
For all the students who took part in this years Junior enterprise it was a very positive experience.
Below are a few reviews written by the various companies.
@games – Working in a Student Enterprise company was a wonderful experience. It taught us not only how to run a business, but also the skills needed to create the product we were selling, that is, our self-designed video game. It also helped us set up a base for our company so we can continue to work on it from here as we wish. The experience was further made made enjoyable by the fact that the team members got on very well and most of all, that the company was a  success and we now hope to keep it going.
Paper cuts – My experience of the enterprise was to finish the products on time because people will have to wait in order to buy our product. Our product takes a long time to make and I think it would be better if we had started earlier. A lot of amazing people were at Whites and we had no chance against them. It was unforgettable
C&T Clocks
Thomas and I both felt that we really enjoyed this experience. We have achieved a lot, such as coming runner up in the Wexford intermediate X-Cel awards. We have learned a lot of new life skills and made a big profit at the same time. On the whole, we feel that it was a great experience with the help of Ms. Barry.

First Year Comments on the Young Entrepreneur Awards 2012:

A & B Logs ‘n More

We enjoyed the night because we got to see the other business ideas and they will inspire us with new ideas in the future. We also made money on the night so that was an added bonus. We thought that the videos were also funny.

Fruit Ninjas

We thought the night was good and it was very professional. There were loads of people there and over 850 students had joined in the competition. We started setting up in White’s Hotel in the afternoon, then we went home back home, got ready and came back to White’s at 5.15pm. The food and refreshments were lovely. There were lots of teams and we hope they all get on well in the future.

The night was very good experience. We sold earlier in the evening and that was good craic. We didn’t win anything but we all know that everyone’s a winner! On the night we made €15 from sales and that was very good too.

–          Evin Ryan, Paul Mahoney & Isaac Doyle

We enjoyed the night of the 29th of March, especially the selling aspect of it. Even though we did not win any prizes we still had fun & received €40 profit. Producing our cards was also fun. Decorating our stalls was good and it attracted a lot of people. The recordings we did were funny, especially when Graeme knocked over a card.

Graeme Smyth & Cormac Byrne

It was a great experience to be nominated in the Junior Category Mini Enterprise Section of the X-Cel Student Awards 2012. The award ceremony was great to take part in. We were delighted to represent the school and delighted to win 2 awards on the night: Best Report in the Junior Category & Overall Winners in the Junior Category. It has been a great experience from the beginning and we had a great support along the way from the school, and Ms Barry in particular.
